The graceful interior of this gated, stucco villa is beautifully designed with Brazilian-cherry floors, ribbon-mahogany cabinets, eucalyptus posts and dramatic split-bamboo vaulted ceilings—creating a unique island look reminiscent of Bali. Spacious decks of rich ironwood with ample seating provide room to spread out, entertain or simply relish the salt air. Step from the lanai through a covered portal to the soft cushiony grass and then on to the white, sandy beach. Large sliding glass doors invite ocean breezes inside and fluidly expand the living space. Whether relaxing with family or entertaining in high style, the interior design provides subtle continuity throughout in the rich hues of ocean, reef and land.

The tropical-style living room is a study in comfort and convenience, with generous seating, a custom-designed mahogany entertainment center, 58-inch HDTV screen, cable, stereo, CD and DVD player. Complete your day’s serenity in an Elite multifunction massage chair.

The dining room is perfect for intimate formal meals. A ribbon-mahogany sideboard contains fine china, linens, flatware and crystal—in addition to the beautiful island-themed glass and dishware in the matching kitchen cabinets. A powder room is conveniently nearby.

Central to life at the villa is the open kitchen, equally near the living and the dining areas. Whether you are a gourmet cook or prefer to hire one for your visit, you will appreciate the beauty and functionality of this custom kitchen. The spectacular counter and free-standing curved bar of “Picasso” granite are reflected in the one-of-a-kind mirror designed by the owner and beautifully etched with turtles and tropical fish. You may also choose to cook on the outside barbecue, surrounded by plumerias. Either way, the herb gardens will complement the freshness of your island seafood and locally grown produce.

The Puako Oasis accommodates up to eight guests, with two master suites with queen-size beds and Hawaiian quilts plus an upstairs split-level suite (with separate entrance, flat-screen television and its own kitchenette) with a king-size sleigh bed and a queen-size “opium” bed. Each suite has gorgeous sandy-beachfront ocean views, separate lanais and private baths. Air conditioning is available in each suite, as well as ceiling fans throughout the house, of course. The master bath is a walk-in “stone grotto” complete with wood bench and louvered ventilation. The master suite has its own outdoor shower, covered sitting area and laundry room.
